17 Mile Bike Rides.... My New Favorite Thing!

Yeah I have taken to taking 17Mi. bike rides from my home to the sea wall and all around the sea wall. If you know me like Mom and Dad do you will know that back home I can't ride a bike for more the 15 minutes before feeling this horrible stabbing pain in my back and not being able to breathe. But here in Vancouver it is relatively flat and what hills there are tend to not be really steep. I could ride for hours and hours and still feel great, and I do just that. Here is a screen shot of a google map I made documenting one of my rides (click it to make the image bigger). Note that I traveled the distance between E and F twice and got on a bus to take me home at point F.

OMG! What is this Freaks Holiday Weekend!?

This is not the post I wanted to make after no having posted for so long, but it is. Yesterday I called my home and talked to my Dad after having encountered and seen many odd people. Such as a homeless guy having an argument with an imaginary being and a cross-dressing guy on the bus with a perverted smile on his face. Two other encounters include being hit on by an old grungy guy who kept offering me roasted peanuts he was eating and a guy who gave me creepy looks while waiting at a bus stop. Well today I went to go get milk (there is the remnants of an old dairy near where I live that has a small store) on the way back while waiting at the bus stop a middle aged black man comes to stand at the stop as well and he starts talking to me. He sees he milk and says I must like near by and I answer negatively. Well he goes on and say I am sweet and charming and yada yada yada and he wants my email address. Here is my thinking on this; if these weird guys want information then I'll give it, but its BAD information. I play along like this because I don't know if they will become upset and violent if I don't give them something (especially when I am at a bus stop alone with them) so I give them faulty info so they just get angry later when they have no hope of seeing me again.
I am fat and unattractive and look like a jumbo sized 12 year old. I dress in frumpy baggy unfashionable clothes and you can see all the ugly lumps and bumps in my back. I have no outstanding physical features and my breasts aren't anything to write home about. And I must also have stupid and manipulable stamped on me in ink only visible to pervy men 35+. I am 21 years old I am not stupid and I know what these creeps are thinking when they do this stuff... It's either they have some obsession with fat women or they see I look like kind of like a little girl and they harbor so creepy fetish that involves little girls.
My life goes like this... Either no one talks to me (people I don't know and people on the bus) and I am totally ignored for weeks or months at a time or all the weirdos spot me and I cant catch a break. Really is it too much to ask to have nice young men my own age talk to me? Is it? But it will never happen. Why you ask? Well I'll tell you why. Its because young men around my age would rather die then talk to or date a fatty like me. All they want is pretty young women with the body of a porn star (and probably the skills to match as well). That's all they care about they don't care about personality its all about looks and sexuality. And for the few guys who aren't that way well, they are socially inept gamers who think games are more important then girls/their girlfriends. I will NEVER be thin and I know this and I don't hold out hope for it. I like food and to cook far too much to give it up to look like a model. I have good qualities I know I do so is it too much hope some one who will like me just ask I am is out there and that they pay attention to me instead of these freaks?
***Note to Dad: Sorry if some of the things I said made you feel uncomfortable. I know you don't like hearing some of this stuff.

Broken Promises.

I Promised a big picture heavy post about the Olympics and some other stuff but I have been bogged down. Its the time of year where every student has tons of papers and studying to do so I will get that stuff up just not for a week or two. I haven't even been able to work on my sweater from hell. I want to crochet but other things need to get done.

Super Late...

Ok so this is super late but I couldn't find my camera data cord for the longest time so these were all stuck on my camera. I use the 4 Gigs of internal memory instead of a memory card. So yeah... Well this year Valentines and Chinese New Year were on the same day and the Olympic started two days before that so it was a pretty "holiday" packed weekend so here are some holiday greetings for you.

Aww... Doesn't Bunny look cute in his heart mask.

The second apperance of the famous Lion Bunny.

Yay! For the  Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Bunny is sporting his hand crafted Olympic Rings Vancouver 2010 hat and read Canada scarf. Looking good Bunny. (Sorry for the bad quality no mater how much I fiddled I couldn't get it to look any nice it was just a crappy picture to begin with.)

Look forward to an ultra image heavy post on the Olympics. Coming as soon as I fix up the pictures.

Korean Food

I was on YouTube today and found this video. I think This makes Korean food look boring and is the most boring food video ever. Although I do think there are a lot of good food porn shots. I really love the look on the white guys face near the end. I don't like the whole Kisang (Korean version of geisha) aspect to the video. And I wonder what the guy got at the end? Good job Korean Tourism. If you keep making videos like these no one will ever come to Korea.
For Dad- Yum... yum... dobbie pads...

It's Been A While...

I haven't posted in almost a month I think. I was busy with exams and Christmas and enjoying my time at home while I could. I will be posting several make up posts in rapid succession soon. These were posts I meant to make but was too busy to do. These posts should be up by the end of the week.

Tour of My Place

I meant to do this a while ago but my place was always in such a state or it wasn't the way I wanted it. So I finally made this tour video. I know how much my parents wanted to see the place. So here is the video. Sorry about all the head twitching at the beginning, I desperately need a haircut. Let me know what you think about my first place. Oh my god it is so embarrassing to see and hear myself. I really annoy myself. Click here to see it on YouTube. I had wanted to upload it so you could view it on the blog and have it on YouTube like I did with bunny's lion dance video. But the video file was too big to upload to the blog. And apparently the video was too long because last night I left it uploading to Youtube and it was was rejected due to length so I had to edit it this morning and re-upload it (and the file is still to big to upload directly to the blog...).
Oh I watched and I seem like a crazy person and all the turquoise is very obsessive. Hahaha. Oh well I like it.
P.S. the Mucky Brown color I mention that is on the sofa cover looks green but is really a decomposing leaves sort of color. Yuck.
P.P.S. All of my furniture is second hand Ikea stuff found using Craigslist. Basically I went to the Ikea store found what I wanted and took that shopping list to craigslist it cost me a good two thirds less to buy all the furniture and I was also able to get discontinued pieces that I wanted.

My New Favorite Blog

I just discovered a blog that has instantly become a favorite. It is eatyourkimchi.com written but a Canadian couple from Toronto who are living and working in Korea as teachers. Most people know I am a Korea fan. Going to teach English in Korea for a few years is something I want to do... Insert crying parents here.... Like they didn't already cry a river when I decided to come to Vancouver for university. My parents know I want to visit Korea but I don't think they know I want to go teach and live there for a few years... SURPRISE!... Insert parents crying an ocean of tears here. I just wanted to share that with you. I have also been looking for a way to have the blogs I follow listed to the left right (side column was on the left on the old layout) like other blogs have. But for some reason I just haven't been able to figure out how since its not an obvious option for things to put in that side column. I am also looking for a suitable Teal colored blog template (the background and formate). I can't fond that either... Mom complained about the darkness of the background so I switched to a new one about a week ago. I like it but its not teal or turquoise so I guess I will have to see if I can get someone to code (make) a template for me.

Cutest Pepper Mill Ever!

I was looking around the web for gift ideas when I came across this. It also makes a boring object fun. You squeeze its ears to make it grind, refill it by taking its tail off and you can even adjust the coarseness by twisting the bottom. Just a quick post because I had to share this.
